The following players display all the characteristics of Team Pineapple volleyball players. Read the nominations below and you will understand why they were chosen as our Players of the Month!

16U-1's  I would like to nominate my whole team for the month of February; including the kids who subbed for us at different times. Central Zones was a tough tournament for us and we were 2-4; then the 2nd Smack Series where we ended up 4-1 with a second place finish, to the President's Day tournament where we came out 5-0 and the championship!!  Volleyball is a total team sport and our kids went to battle against some good competition with our regular team at times and at times with some wonderful Pineapple kids who stepped in and stepped up. - Coach Cheeks

Sophia Jackson is a coach's dream. From the moment she steps foot in the gym she is ready to go. She is focused, works hard, and has a deep desire to improve her game any chance she can get. This month Sophia has really stepped up (and out of her shell) to be a vocal leader on the court. 11/12's are lucky to call her a teammate!

Mackenzie Scheid displays everything a coach asks for. She is a great teammate, coachable, has a great attitude and is always willing to go the extra mile to help her coach & teammates.  In our smack series tournament at AMS on 2/24/18 she served 20+ points (at least 7 of them being in a row), played all around in several games and help lead her team to the championship in the gold bracket.
